What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ambassador position at METROPOLITAN HEALTHCARE SERVICES?
Under the supervision and direction of the MHS Manager or Team Lead, the Desk Ambassador helps patients and visitors find their way around the hospital and answers phone calls. This role also gives out visitor badges, provides general information, and works closely with hospital staff to make sure every guest has a positive experience.
Qualifications:Shift: 7AM -3:30 PM, FT
Key Responsibilities

Greet all patients, guests, and staff as soon as they arrive

Use prepared scripts to say hello and goodbye to every guest

Provide room numbers to visitors when allowed by hospital rules

Complete visitor screenings and issue badges as required

Give directions and answer basic questions about the hospital and surrounding campus

Work as a team with other hospital staff to create a welcoming environment

Help keep the reception area clean, organized, and comfortable

Respond to questions and concerns kindly and respectfully

Report any unsafe or suspicious behavior to hospital security right away

Stay up to date on hospital safety and emergency procedures

Keep the work area safe and neat by following company rules

Keep patient and hospital information private, in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Do other tasks as needed or assigned by your manager

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification and Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
-
Legally allowed to work in the United States

Must pass a background check and a drug test

Able to read, write, and speak English clearly

Must meet hospital health and immunization requirements
-
Ability to demonstrate professionalism, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Passion for customer service and attention to detail is important
Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, see, and hear

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally

Must be able to push or pull someone in a wheelchair weighing between 100 and 350 pounds, sometimes over a long distance

The ability to work flexible schedules and extended hours such as weekends, holidays, or longer shifts is sometimes required
