Job Summary
The Parking Lot Monitor helps manage hospital parking areas by providing excellent customer service and keeping the space clean and organized. This person helps control traffic flow, makes sure vehicles are parked properly, and assists customers with directions or locating their cars.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor parking garages to keep unauthorized people out of restricted areas
Keep parking lots clean, safe, and organized
Help customers find their vehicles or give directions on where to park
Follow all safety rules and keep the work area secure
Report any accidents to a manager right away
Direct traffic and make sure cars are parked within the lines
Use a two-way radio to communicate with team members when needed
Collect parking fees and calculate charges if required
Assist with valet or stacking vehicles when traffic is heavy
Enter information into the Parking Management System
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Requirements
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
Must be legally allowed to work in the United States
Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
Must pass background and drug tests
May need to meet health screening or vaccination requirements
Friendly, professional, and good at working with people
Detail-oriented and focused on good customer service
Physical Requirements
Willingness to work in the elements (heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.).
Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to push and pull (on wheelchair) 100 to 350 pounds, frequently over considerable distances.
The ability to work flexible schedules and extended hours such as weekends, holidays, and longer shifts is sometimes required.
