Position OverviewWe are seeking enthusiastic, professional, and safety-focused Riding Instructors to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a strong teaching background, solid horsemanship skills, and the ability to work with riders from beginner through advanced levels.
Instructors play a key role in delivering safe, engaging, and skill-building lessons while creating a positive and welcoming experience for all riders and families.
Key Responsibilities- Teach private and group horseback riding lessons for youth and adults of all skill levels
- Develop and implement structured lesson plans aligned with program standards
- Ensure rider safety, proper use of tack, and adherence to barn protocols
- Assist with horse selection, grooming, tacking, and warm-up/cool-down routines
- Provide constructive feedback to support rider progress and confidence
- Maintain a professional, inclusive, and positive lesson environment
- Collaborate with barn staff to ensure lesson horses are properly prepared
- Support clinics, horse shows, and special events as needed
- Prior experience teaching horseback riding lessons required
- Strong knowledge of English riding disciplines (hunt seat, dressage, and/or jumping)
- Ability to teach riders of varying ages and abilities, including beginners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to safety and horse welfare
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and events
