MDHA employs over 300 staff members, has a budget of $215 million, and houses approximately 30,000 people, primarily through nearly 8,000 Section 8 Vouchers and over 6,800 apartments, which are mainly Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) units, at 39 properties. MDHA is a housing authority, a community development agency, and a redevelopment agency.
Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Planning and Development, the Relocation Manager provides oversight and management of all aspects of the resident relocation process for MDHA-managed properties, including both temporary and permanent relocations required by comprehensive modernization activities such as construction, rehabilitation, and demolition, as well as other agency-initiated activities that necessitate relocation support. The position ensures all relocation activities are planned and executed in accordance with applicable federal requirements, including the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act (URA), the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations, fair housing requirements, state and local requirements, and MDHA policies and procedures.
