JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Re-entry Manager supports 180 Re-entry Assistance Program success and provides leadership, coordination, and staff supervision. This position will work closely with 180 RAP leadership to coordinate onsite programming, advance re-entry initiatives and manage Re-entry Center service and support. The Re-entry Manager will increase program effectiveness and transition success of participants through effective management of program initiatives and grant activities.ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Provides day to day management of the Re-entry Center, including staffing, facility oversight and providing daily direct support.
- Supervises and evaluates full time team members.
- Manages all timekeeping for 180 RAP.
- Coordinates staff development for 180 RAP and hosts regular team meetings.
- Oversees monthly Free Access Day activities and manages special assignments.
- Supports program data management including reviewing grant activities, specialized funding and tracking program and participant outcomes.
- Directs re-entry intake and wraparound service and supports.
- Assists with Re-entry Pantry service and support management, including purchasing and receiving.
- Secures, maintains and inventories work support items for the Re-entry Career Readiness Center.
- Collaborates with Assistant Director and Director to schedule re-entry activities.
- Conducts program tours for community partners and re-entry stakeholders.
- Supports all 180 RAP initiatives, serving as proxy for Assistant Director or Director, when necessary.
- Shows leadership by attending college-wide events and is involved in college and community projects and committees, as assigned.
- Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions, as scheduled or assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge and skill in effective program leadership and management, including organization processes.
Skilled at managing multiple priorities, paying close attention to detail, and working in a team setting.
Knowledge of corrections, re-entry, and community providers.
Ability to develop strong, positive relationships with MCC staff and leadership, corrections and community professionals.
Knowledge of management, correctional policies and education requirements.
Knowledge of re-entry initiatives.
Excellent written communication skills including drafting of policies and procedures for department and creating effective external communications.
Effective presentation skills appropriate for internal and external audiences of MCC leadership, correctional administrators, community partners, and other professionals.
Ability to articulate a commitment to enhancing inclusion and diversity by effectively interacting with persons of varied backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.
Ability to use computer-based office environment equipment and programs and to implement technology solutions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, or re-entry related field.
Five (5) years of management and/or corrections experience.
Demonstrated experience with re-entry or at-risk populations and programs is preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.
Valid driver's license and insurability to drive college vehicles is required.
Must pass a background check.
