What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at Metropolis Resort?
Metropolis Resort is seeking lifeguards to join our team in Chaos Waterpark. Lifeguards ensure the safety and well-being of our guests during their experience. As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe environment for all visitors, actively monitoring the waterpark attractions, and responding swiftly to any emergencies. This position requires a keen eye, strong swimming abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service to ensure that our guests have a memorable and enjoyable time while prioritizing their safety at all times.
This part time position offers around 20 hours per week with weekends being the primary time needed.
Qualifications: Current lifeguard certification, First Aid and CPR certifications are essential; additional emergency medical training is a plus, prior experience as a lifeguard or in a related water safety role is preferred but not mandatory.

Duties include:
-Actively monitor all waterpark attractions, including pools, slides, and play areas, to ensure guest safety and enforce waterpark rules and regulations.
-Remain vigilant and attentive at all times, scanning the water and surrounding areas to identify potential hazards and respond to any distress signals.
-Educate guests about waterpark safety rules and guidelines, providing clear instructions on how to use water attractions safely.
-Intervene and take prompt action in the event of an emergency, performing water rescues and providing first aid as required.
-Coordinate with other lifeguards and waterpark staff to maintain effective communication and respond efficiently to any incidents.
-Assist in the implementation of emergency response plans and evacuation procedures, ensuring guest safety during drills and actual emergencies.
-Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with guests, addressing their inquiries and providing excellent customer service.
-Attend regular training sessions and participate in skill evaluations to enhance lifeguarding abilities and maintain certifications.
