Position Summary
Metropol-Tech Consulting Inc. (MTCI) is seeking experienced Echo Sonographers to join our team at the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System under the Veterans Health Administration’s Integrated Critical Staffing Program (VHA ICSP).
You will play a vital role in supporting the cardiology team by providing high-quality Echocardiogram (ECHO) diagnostic imaging to eligible veterans at the Everett, WA CBOC location.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms for both inpatient and outpatient veterans.
- Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and ensure image accuracy for physician review.
- Maintain strict adherence to VA imaging protocols and uphold the highest standards of clinical quality.
- Accurately document and maintain all reports, logs, and imaging archives.
- Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and calibrated.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare staff to deliver seamless patient-centered care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), specialty in Adult Echocardiography.
- Current BLS certification (AHA preferred).
- At least 2 years of clinical experience performing echocardiograms.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating echocardiographic equipment and interpreting imaging data.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
- Must be eligible for work on a federal contract and not listed on the OIG Exclusion List.
- U.S. citizenship or valid authorization to work in the U.S. required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with VA imaging systems or procedures.
