Metroplex Gymnastics is seeking enthusiastic and dependable Summer Camp Counselors to join our team. As we continue to grow, we are looking for individuals who are energetic, attentive, and passionate about creating a safe and engaging environment for children.
Position Summary
Camp Counselors are responsible for leading and supervising children ages 3–12 through a variety of structured and recreational activities. These include gymnastics, ninja activities, team games, swimming, arts & crafts, gym activities, and weekly on-site special events. Our counselors play a key role in ensuring each child has a fun, safe, and memorable camp experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and engage campers in a variety of activities including arts & crafts, sports, games, and special events while maintaining a safe environment
- Co-lead a group of up to 25 campers (age-based groups) with a positive, energetic, and professional attitude
- Serve as a role model by demonstrating courtesy, teamwork, and strong communication with both campers and staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of camp spaces to support safety and efficiency
- Promote camp activities and special events to enhance participation
- Ensure proper use and care of equipment and materials
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous camp or childcare experience preferred (minimum 1 year)
- Ability to complete fingerprinting and State of Texas licensing requirements within the first 30 days of hire
- First Aid certification required within 30 days
- CPR/AED certification (infant, child, and adult) required within 30 days
- Ability to work in a high-energy environment with moderate noise levels
- Physically able to stand, walk, reach, and actively participate in camp activities; ability to climb ladders when needed
Schedule Options
- AM Shift: 7:00 AM – 2:45 PM
- PM Shift: 1:00 PM – 6:45 PM
