Employment in this position is part-time and may require evening and weekend shifts. This position is generally performed in an office environment.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to remain stationary during 80% of shift, constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. This position frequently communicates with guests and must be able to exchange accurate information. Employee may occasionally move up to 25 pounds. - Performs reception duties including answering telephones and routing inquiries and in-coming communications appropriately. Disseminates MetroParks information and otherwise answers routine questions regarding facilities and programs.
- Manages online reservations and registrations. Creates and distributes permits, paperwork, and reports to users and MetroParks staff. Ensures full payment for reservations pursuant to policy.
- Assists the Director of Visitor and Event Services with Special Event, Athletic Complex and Practice Field procedures including inputting reservations, drafting contracts, collecting payment or other tasks as assigned.
- Handles and distributes US mail and deliveries to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Coordinates, completes, reconciles, and files all MetroParks deposits. Works closely with Financial Services to ensure correct use of account codes, verification of cash funds, and periodic compliance with audits of cash funds.
- Distributes weekly park activity reports to appropriate personnel.
- Operates personal computers, scanners, and common office equipment. Utilizes various software, as required. May drive licensed motor vehicles on behalf of Employer.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record, allowing insurability by MetroParks current vehicle insurance carrier, under existing coverage provisions, at the time of employment and thereafter are also required. Candidates for employment may not have more than 4 total points (or equivalent penalty) issued by a recognized licensing authority for driving-related violations on his/her driving record at the time of employment.
- No history of felony convictions.
