What are the responsibilities and job description for the Small Engine Technician position at Metro Turf Outdoor Power?
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Small Engine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of gasoline-powered equipment and two cycle equipment, specializing in our core brands: Exmark, Toro, Stihl, Echo, Honda, and Cub Cadet.
- Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on small engine equipment, with a focus on commercial and residential lawn care equipment (lawnmowers, zero-turns, trimmers, chainsaws, generators, blowers, etc.).
- Accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on products from key brands including Exmark, Toro, Stihl, Echo, Honda, and Cub Cadet.
- Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble engine components, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed, accurate repair records.
- Test and tune equipment after repair to ensure peak performance and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service bay.
