Metro Tech Electric Inc. is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable On-Site Safety Manager to oversee multiple electrical construction projects in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa areas.. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing risks associated with occupational health. This role requires expertise in OSHA regulations, workers' compensation law, and environmental health and safety (EHS) practices.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Safety (HSE) or Construction Management
Experience: 1 to 5 years of Safety experience
or
Experience: 5 years of experience in the electrical trade
Oklahoma Unlimited Journeyman Licenses
Preferred Experience:
- Professional Certifications: A professional certification such as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or an Associate Safety Professional (ASP) is a plus.
- Commercial Electrical Experience (Field or Safety Position)
Responsibilities
- Monitor, Implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, MSHA, EPA, etc.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide training and development programs for employees on safety practices, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, incidents, and compliance issues for management review.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a proactive approach to occupational health and safety.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Stay updated on industry trends regarding safety regulations and best practices.
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
- Position requires working indoors and outdoors, while being exposed to all elements (Heat, Cold, Wind, Rain, etc.)
- Fully squat, stoop or kneel for extended periods of time.
- Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions
Schedule:
Work Schedule: Between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays.
