Overview
Rapidly growing Rosedale, MD food manufacturing and packaging company seeks experienced Blending Quality Control Technician for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6am-2:30pm). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety and processing, with a passion for maintaining excellence in food production.
Major Responsibilities:
The production of safe quality products while demonstrating the adherence of GMP policies and Food Safety Prerequisite Programs. Execute appropriate quality documentation to assure customer quality parameters are achieved.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular inspections of food products to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Strictly Follows Quality Leader instructions
- Execution of Pre-Weigh Verification Sheets, Bill of Materials/Work Orders
- Participation in Food Safety & Food Defense Plans
- Communicate with the Production Supervisor and the Quality Leader on QA/QC related concerns
- Execute proper documents when Food Safety or Quality Concerns are discovered
- Inspects ingredients for foreign matter or Quality issues
- Any other function management deems essential
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Diploma/GED
- Knowledge and experience with GMP’s, food safety programs (SQF, etc.) and HACCP skills.
- Must be able to bend, kneel and stoop
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment
- Strong Math Skills
- Effective communication skills verbally and written
