Location: Kansas City metro area
Pay: 19.00–23.00 per hour

$500 hiring bonus for applicants with an active KCMO PD Class A armed security license.

Metro Public Safety and Investigations is seeking dependable, professional Armed Security Officers to help protect our clients, employees, visitors, and property. Assignments may include mobile patrol, the Country Club Plaza, and stationary security sites.

We are looking for officers who communicate clearly, exercise sound judgment, and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned properties and maintain a visible security presence.
• Monitor access points and identify suspicious activity, safety concerns, and unauthorized entry.
• Enforce property rules and company policies professionally and consistently.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies according to training and established procedures.
• Use communication and de-escalation skills to help resolve conflicts.
• Request law enforcement, fire, or medical assistance when needed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain activity logs.
• Maintain a professional appearance and properly care for assigned equipment.

Qualifications

• Must pass a criminal history background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 23 years old for driving assignments.
• Must supply your own handgun and duty gear.
• Must meet the armed security licensing requirements for the assigned location.
• Must be willing to work overnight shifts and weekends.
• Must demonstrate dependable attendance, clear communication, and professional conduct.
