Position Summary
The Plumber Helper assists licensed plumbers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial plumbing systems while learning the plumbing trade. This is an entry-level position offering hands-on training, mentorship, and opportunities for career advancement within the plumbing industry.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with the installation of plumbing systems, including water lines, drain lines, fixtures, and plumbing components.
· Carry tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites.
· Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
· Follow instructions from lead plumbers and support plumbing projects as directed.
· Learn plumbing installation, repair, and troubleshooting techniques.
· Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
· Dig trenches and assist with underground plumbing work as needed.
· Support fixture installation, pipe assembly, and basic plumbing repairs.
· Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
· Reliable and dependable with a positive attitude.
· Strong work ethic and willingness to learn the plumbing trade.
· Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
· Ability to operate basic hand and power tools safely.
· Valid driver's license or reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
· Basic mechanical, construction, maintenance, or plumbing experience.
· Familiarity with hand tools and job site safety practices.
· Interest in pursuing a long-term career in the plumbing industry.
· Enrollment in or willingness to participate in a plumbing apprenticeship program which will be paid by the Employer.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
· Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
· Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
