Metro Moulded Parts has been manufacturing premium rubber weatherstripping and restoration parts for classic American cars since 1918. Over 15,000 parts. Made in the USA. Our wholesale customers include leading parts distributors, restoration shops, and specialty retailers across North America and internationally.
We're looking for a driven, phone-first wholesale account manager to grow our B2B business.
The Role
You'll manage a book of wholesale accounts: parts distributors, restoration shops, and specialty retailers. This is an inside sales role with heavy phone activity. You'll spend 2 to 3 hours a day on the phone building relationships, growing existing accounts, reactivating dormant ones, and prospecting new business.
This is not a passive order-taking job. We need someone who picks up the phone, knows their customers, and proactively drives growth.
What you'll do:
- Make 15 to 20 outbound calls per day to wholesale accounts and prospects
- Manage and grow a portfolio of B2B wholesale accounts
- Prospect and open new wholesale accounts
- Provide product support on fitment and applications (training provided)
- Walk wholesale customers through technical fitment questions and help with part selection
- Maintain account records and notes in our systems
- Send quotes, follow up on pending orders, and resolve issues
- Participate in weekly pipeline and account review meetings
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 2 years of B2B inside sales or account management experience. Wholesale, distribution, or manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- You genuinely enjoy being on the phone. This is a phone-heavy role.
- Experience managing 50 accounts
- CRM proficient, organized, and accountable
- Strong communicator on the phone and in writing
- Personable, prompt, and professional
Preferred (we'll train the right person):
- Automotive aftermarket, classic car, or parts distribution experience
- Knowledge of classic American cars (Chevy, Ford, Mopar, etc.)
- ERP or order management system experience
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting pay: $17.00 to $30.00 per hour base, depending on experience, plus commission
- Commission: 2.5% on all shipped wholesale revenue. Uncapped. No tiers. No ceiling.
- On-target first year earnings: $75,000 to $100,000 depending on performance. Top performers earn $100,000 .
