We are seeking a motivated Account Executive to represent Forsyth County News and our broader media portfolio. This is a client-facing, outside sales role ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and a passion for helping local businesses grow through innovative marketing strategies.

What You Will Do

As an Account Executive, you’ll be the face of Metro Market Media in Forsyth County, responsible for building lasting partnerships and driving revenue growth. Your responsibilities will include:

• Prospecting & Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across industries.

  • Generate leads through networking, community involvement, and cold outreach.

• Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for local business owners and marketing managers.

  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.

• Consultative Sales

  • Conduct needs assessments to understand client goals and challenges.

  • Develop customized, multi-platform marketing solutions that combine print, digital, social, and event sponsorships.

• Sales Presentations & Negotiations

  • Deliver compelling presentations to decision-makers.

  • Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals with confidence.

• Campaign Management & Reporting

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure campaigns are executed flawlessly.

  • Track performance using CRM tools, provide clients with updates, and adjust strategies for optimal results.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For 

We want someone who thrives in a fast-paced, community-driven environment and is eager to make an impact. The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven success in outside sales or business development.

• Experience managing large accounts and building long-term partnerships.

• Strong knowledge of digital marketing platforms (social media, SEO, display ads) and traditional media.

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.

• A consultative approach to sales, focusing on client needs rather than one-size-fits-all solutions.

• Familiarity with Forsyth County and the surrounding community is a plus.

• Coachability, resilience, and a drive to exceed goals.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.

• 2 years of outside sales or account management experience (media or marketing industry experience is a plus).
