Position Overview
This is a contract position providing design and décor support across multiple hotel properties. The contractor will assist with selecting décor, arranging room layouts, sourcing furniture, and supporting on-site installation work. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on hospitality experience who understands the operational needs of a hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with room layout updates and basic space planning.
- Support the selection of colors, décor, bedding, artwork, lighting, and finishes.
- Conduct vendor research and sourcing for furniture, fixtures, and décor.
- Prepare visual boards, mood boards, and simple design presentations.
- Travel to hotel properties to evaluate rooms, measure spaces, and support décor improvements.
- Assist with installation, staging, and setup of furniture and accessories.
- Collaborate with General Managers to ensure design changes align with property needs and brand standards.
- Maintain design notes, purchase lists, and project documentation.
Qualifications (Required)
- Prior experience working in hotels, extended-stay properties, or hospitality environments.
- Strong interest or background in interior design, decorating, staging, or hotel décor.
- Strong eye for design, color coordination, and visual detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation to travel between multiple hotel locations (Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale, Chandler, etc.).
- Ability to lift décor items and assist with staging as needed.
- Experience with basic design tools (SketchUp, Canva, AutoCAD, or similar) is a plus, but not required.
Contract Terms
- This is a 1099 contract role (not W-2 employment).
