Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in overseeing daily hospitality operations and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. The Assistant General Manager will play a key leadership role in staff supervision, operational efficiency, and service quality, while helping to drive revenue and maintain company standards. This position requires strong leadership skills, operational knowledge, and the ability to step in as acting General Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations across all departments to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Support guest satisfaction initiatives by maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
- Supervise staff scheduling, training, onboarding, and performance management.
- Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Assist in monitoring financial performance, controlling costs, and supporting budget management.
- Support revenue-generating initiatives, including upselling, promotions, and local marketing efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment aligned with company culture.
- Assist with inventory management, vendor coordination, and operational supplies.
- Prepare reports and operational updates for the General Manager and senior leadership.
- Step in for the General Manager during absences and support leadership decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hospitality operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong understanding of hotel/restaurant operations and customer service standards.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate team members.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic to intermediate financial knowledge, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
- Proficiency in property management systems (PMS), POS, CRM, or similar hospitality software.
