Metro Group Management Corporation is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our residential condominium and homeowners association management team.
This position is responsible for processing vendor invoices and payments for multiple associations while maintaining accurate financial records and following established accounting procedures.
Responsibilities
- Enter and process vendor invoices
- Review invoices for accuracy and proper GL coding
- Process vendor payments
- Maintain vendor records, W-9s, and insurance information
- Research duplicate invoices, credits, and payment discrepancies
- Communicate with vendors and property managers regarding invoice and payment questions
- Maintain organized electronic accounting records
- Assist with month-end accounts payable review
- Help ensure expenses are posted to the correct association and fund
- Follow company procedures and internal financial controls
Qualifications
- 2 years of bookkeeping or accounts payable experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and recurring deadlines
- Basic understanding of general ledger coding
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with condominium/HOA accounting, property management, Vantaca, or AvidXchange/Strongroom is a plus, but not required.
