What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counter Sales Representative position at Metro Electric Supply / Metro Lighting?
We are looking for an inside sales person to sell electrical supplies to our various customers in the St. Louis, MO area. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner and provide ultimate customer service. Advancement opportunities available. This is a full-time position with benefits.
In this role you will:
- Interact with customers in a manner that encourages repeat business
- Use computer system to manage sales orders and inventory
- Share knowledge of materials and ensure customers needs are being met
What you bring to the table:
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with employees and customers
- Proven working experience
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift objects ~50lbs and occasionally lifting objects up to 75lbs is required
- Ability to walk, bend, squat, kneel, push, pull and reach frequently
- Ability to read, comprehend, write, perform calculations, input accurately, reason, and analyze
- High school degree
Work shift and hours:
- This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position during normal business hours, 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday-Friday in the office.
Compensation Details:
- The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $18-20 per hour depending on experience.
- This position is also bonus eligible - based on specific and relevant business metrics.
