What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical RN Skin Cancer Surgery Center position at Metro East Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center?
Growing practice seeking an experienced RN. This is a very HANDS ON POSITION.
Experience with surgical procedures, circulating, scrubbing, pre and post op nursing is definitely a plus; however, we love to teach and are willing to take the time and focus on those individuals who are truly motivated in their field and looking for a position where they can learn and grow
This position is for Mohs and Reconstructive surgery. Applicants with experience as a surgical ASC nurse are encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to the physician with patient care and surgical procedures
- Scrubbing for surgical procedures using sterile technique
- Assist the physician during surgeries under the direction of the physician
- Administering lidocaine for procedures and surgery
- Assist physician with patient care and education
- Scribe using EMR (EMA by modernizing medicine)
- Calling patients with biopsy results
- E-scribing prescriptions
- Scheduling patients
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Certification an RN
- Prior surgical RN in an OR or ASC desired
- Prior experience in Mohs and Dermatology a plus but not required.
