Metro Drugs is a Fertility Specialty Pharmacy located on the upper east side in New York City.
We are seeking a Per Diem staff pharmacist. Recent grads are welcomed to apply.
Duties:
- Review and interpret prescription orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy
- Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and patients
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop comprehensive medication treatment plans
- Monitor patient responses to drug therapy and make appropriate recommendations or interventions
- Conduct medication therapy management and utilization management activities
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding the storage, handling, and dispensing of medications
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- BS in Pharmacy (RPh) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Current pharmacist license in NY
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
