Support Services Facilitator – TN ACEs Initiative
Metro Drug Coalition is a non-profit organization with a mission to improve the health of the greater Knoxville community by reducing substance misuse through prevention, harm reduction, and recovery support. We are seeking a part-time Support Services Facilitator to contribute to our TN ACEs Initiative.
TN ACEs aims to address the well-documented link between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and later life substance misuse by intervening with pregnant and new mothers before a child is even born and/or in their early developmental stages. Through community outreach and education on the realities of ACEs and free-of-cost support services for at-risk mothers, TN ACEs provides direct services to not only serve and protect new mothers but allow the future generation to thrive as well.
Clinical Program Facilitator responsibilities include:
· Establish a case management system coordinating efforts between community agencies and women needing additional support.
· Maintain client records according to HIPAA guidelines.
· Assess needs of individual clients upon intake.
· Host individual meetings and group sessions as established upon intake.
· Establish a referral network for women who need clinical behavioral health services beyond the scope of the existing program.
· Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to promote and recruit eligible clients to support sessions.
· Collect data to measure effectiveness of program activities and group sessions, based on defined project objectives.
· Report progress and outcomes on defined objectives.
· Collaborate and assist community educators, as needed.
· Remain updated on current research and best practices regarding Adverse Childhood Experiences and generational transfer of trauma.
· Other tasks and duties reasonably related to their job responsibilities, as assigned by the Project Director
Qualifications:
· Four-year college degree in social work, counseling or another related field.
o Preferred, but not required: Licensed Masters level behavioral health clinician.
· Preferred, but not required: Lived experience with adverse childhood experiences (ACEs)
· Experience working within and collaborating across professional teams.
· Experience working in clinical support settings, both individual and group settings.
· Experience working in multicultural settings.
· Demonstrated group facilitation skills.
· Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills.
· Comfort in large, networking settings.
· Ability to work cooperatively with diverse stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
· Ability to self-motivate and work independently, progressing toward identified goals with little supervision.
· Willingness to travel within the 16-county East Tennessee region.
· Must maintain a valid Tennessee Driver’s license and show proof of insurance.
This is a 20 hour per week position at $36-40 per hour contracted (1099) position without benefits. Hourly rate determined based on education and relevant experience. Some occasional weekend and evening work will be required. The contract will last until June 30, 2026, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and available funding.
