Duties
- Operate snow removal equipment such as plows, shovels, blowers, and salt spreaders to clear pathways , and sidewalks effectively at commercial buildings
- Assess weather conditions regularly to determine the most efficient snow and ice removal strategies.
- Apply de-icing materials like salt or sand to prevent ice formation and enhance safety on walkways and surfaces.
- Perform routine inspections of grounds to identify potential hazards caused by snow accumulation or ice buildup.
- Maintain and perform basic upkeep on snow removal tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance throughout the season.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during outdoor winter maintenance activities.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding ongoing tasks, equipment needs, or safety concerns promptly.
Experience
- Previous outdoor work experience, particularly in snow removal or groundskeeping roles, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with operating ground maintenance equipment such as power tools, snow blowers, or landscaping machinery is advantageous.
