Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with precision and care.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling, beverage stations, seating areas, and equipment sanitation.
- Assist with food preparation tasks following food safety standards, including handling ingredients and assembling menu items quickly and accurately.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities by processing cash transactions accurately and balancing registers at the end of shifts.
- Support team members during busy periods by multitasking effectively, managing time efficiently, and contributing to a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform cleaning duties regularly.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
