Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager

Our client is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager to join a nationally respected, employee-owned engineering consulting firm in the Dallas area. This role offers the chance to lead meaningful public-sector projects, mentor engineers, and play an active role in business development and client growth across Texas.
What You’ll Do
- Lead planning, design, and project management for water resources and civil infrastructure projects
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, agencies, and internal teams
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and financial performance
- Contribute to proposal development and business development efforts
- Oversee and mentor engineers, including early-career staff
- Develop construction plan packages and stormwater or drainage studies
- Support construction through oversight and technical guidance
What Our Client is Looking For
Required
- BS in Civil Engineering or a related field
- PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- 8 years of experience supporting public-sector engineering projects
- At least 3 years of project management experience
- Strong coordination skills with clients, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with proposal writing, budgeting, and project financials
Preferred
- Established relationships with Texas-based clients
- Interest or experience in business development
- Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams
- AutoCAD / Civil 3D and GIS proficiency
- Hands-on experience with HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, SWMM, and HY-8
- Construction oversight experience

Salary : $130,000 - $155,000
