A respected California law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Of Counsel to join its collaborative Trial & Litigation practice.
This is an opportunity for a strong litigator who enjoys complex, high-stakes matters, strategic case development, and courtroom advocacy, with a particular focus on eminent domain and related constitutional issues.
The Role
- Handle sophisticated state and federal litigation matters
- Develop litigation strategy and build cases through trial
- Lead law and motion practice, including dispositive motions
- Take and defend depositions and develop factual records
- Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial proceedings
- Present complex legal and constitutional arguments clearly and persuasively
The Ideal Background
- 7 years of litigation experience
- Strong state and federal court experience, including dispositive motions
- Proven experience developing cases for trial, depositions, and witness preparation
- Excellent research, writing, analytical, and strategic skills
- Trial experience strongly preferred
- Public entity, eminent domain, or land use experience is a plus
