We are looking for a Senior Engineer with strong expertise in high-voltage and extra-high-voltage overhead transmission line design. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex engineering projects, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior engineers, while still being hands-on with design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide senior-level technical guidance on all aspects of transmission line engineering, including line routing, survey coordination, PLS-CADD modeling, structure and foundation design, clearance checks, plan/profile development, and material specifications.
- Support project delivery through constructability evaluations, work order package preparation, permitting, vendor/subcontractor coordination, and construction support.
- Develop and finalize PLS-CADD criteria and models to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
- Lead and participate in client-facing meetings, including stakeholder sessions and design reviews.
- Mentor and train engineering staff, sharing technical expertise and supporting professional development.
- Contribute to internal design reviews and provide input on special or complex design challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).
- Professional Engineer license (required).
- 8 years of experience in transmission line engineering within the electric utility industry.
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD for transmission line design (required).
- Strong knowledge of industry standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI.
- Experience collaborating with substation, environmental, right-of-way, construction, and maintenance teams.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, with the ability to research issues, evaluate alternatives, and present recommendations.
- Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
- Strong ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and with utility stakeholders.
- Commitment to working safely and in compliance with regulations.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record (MVR) requirements.

Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
