Project Manager - Heavy Civil - Oklahoma - State-wide Travel
Metric Geo is partnering with a growing heavy civil contractor in Oklahoma to identify an experienced Project Manager to join their team.
This position will oversee projects across the state of Oklahoma, making the ability and willingness to travel state-wide a key requirement. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with experience in DOT, highway, roadway, earthwork, utilities, or other heavy civil construction who is looking to take ownership of significant projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage heavy civil projects from preconstruction through completion
- Take ownership of project cost, schedule, quality, and profitability
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams
- Manage relationships with owners, engineers, DOT representatives, and other stakeholders
- Review contracts, plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Monitor project financials, forecasting, billing, and cost control
- Identify and resolve project risks and issues
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to leadership
- Assist with estimating, bidding, and preconstruction activities when required
Ideal Background
- 5 years of Project Management experience in heavy civil construction
- Experience with DOT, highway, roadway, earthwork, utilities, or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, and project financials
- Experience managing subcontractors and field teams
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- Oklahoma DOT experience is highly desirable
- Must be willing to travel extensively across Oklahoma based on project requirements
