Responsibilities
- Test and evaluate products against U.S., Canadian, and international safety standards
- Mentor and support junior engineering staff
- Review schematics, manufacturing instructions, and product construction
- Plan and execute compliance testing; document and report results
- Communicate project status and findings to internal teams and clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or technical degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Experience with product safety standards such as ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, and IEC, including:
- IEC 60601 (Medical), IEC 62368 (ICT), IEC 61010 (Lab/Test Equipment), IEC 60335 (HVAC/Appliances)
- Familiarity with product categories including medical, electronics, laboratory, IT, appliances, and machinery
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; willingness to travel as needed
