California Employment Attorney – Labor & Employment Practice
📍 Newport Beach, CA | Full-Time | On-Site
A well-established full-service law firm in Newport Beach is seeking a California-licensed employment attorney with 3–8 years of experience to join a thriving Labor & Employment practice. This group represents businesses across California and nationwide, handling the full spectrum of employment matters, from counseling and pre-litigation disputes to litigation in state and federal courts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage employment disputes, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, termination, and wage & hour matters.
- Handle pre-litigation counseling, single plaintiff cases, and class/PAGA actions.
- Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery requests, motions (dismissal, summary judgment/adjudication), mediation and trial briefs, and other trial documents.
- Prepare for and participate in depositions and trial proceedings.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for clients, providing practical, solution-focused legal guidance.
Qualifications:
- California Bar membership required.
- 3–8 years of experience in California employment litigation.
- Strong analytical, writing, and research skills.
- Superior academic performance and professional maturity.
