Overview
Metric Geo are recruiting for an experienced Utility Foreman to lead field crews on utility construction projects. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring safe and efficient execution of work, and maintaining quality standards across underground utility installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise utility construction crews, including daily task assignments and production tracking
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations
- Coordinate with Project Managers and field leadership to maintain schedule and budget
- Oversee installation of underground utilities and related construction activities
- Train and mentor crew members on safety procedures and best practices
- Manage materials, equipment, and resources for optimal productivity
- Enforce compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulations
- Identify and resolve field issues as they arise
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- 5 years of experience in construction, preferably utility or heavy civil work
- Prior leadership or foreman experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of field operations and safety standards
- Ability to manage crews in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
