Metric Geo are partnered with leading provider of AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) data center solutions is expanding into the U.S., and we're looking for a Data Center Site Manager to lead operations at their flagship U.S. facility in Pittsburgh.
This is a unique opportunity to join early and play a key role in scaling U.S. operations for a company that is rapidly growing across North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of a standalone Tier III-level data center facility
- Manage all critical infrastructure systems (electrical, mechanical, security, etc.)
- Oversee vendor and contractor management for maintenance and upgrades
- Ensure facility uptime, compliance, and operational excellence
- Manage on-site staff and support recruiting for local operations teams
- Coordinate with design, construction, and commissioning teams for future U.S. expansion projects
- Act as the primary on-site point of contact for client tours and stakeholder engagement
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of experience in data center operations, critical facilities, or infrastructure management
- Strong understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems and facility operations
- Experience managing vendors, maintenance, and incident response
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment supporting AI, HPC, or cloud workloads
- Leadership experience — able to mentor teams and build operations culture from the ground up
- Strong communication skills for both internal teams and client-facing activities
