Senior Director of Construction | Hyperscale Data Center Infrastructure
A rapidly scaling digital infrastructure company is hiring a Senior Director of Construction to drive end-to-end delivery across its growing hyperscale data center portfolio in North America. THE ROLE
Reporting to the SVP of Construction, the Senior Director of Construction will manage the full construction lifecycle — from site readiness and contractor procurement through commissioning and turnover — across a portfolio of hyperscale and edge data center projects.
You will lead a team of construction managers, establish delivery standards, and drive accountability across a broad ecosystem of GCs, subcontractors, and technical partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage end-to-end delivery of active and pipeline hyperscale construction projects
- Lead, mentor, and develop an internal construction management team
- Support procurement strategy and manage GC/subcontractor relationships
- Partner with Real Estate, Development, and Engineering on pre-construction planning
- Implement project controls, reporting cadences, and risk mitigation frameworks
- Manage construction budgets across concurrent projects totalling $500M
- Interface with AHJs, utilities, and permitting bodies to support approvals
- Ensure quality, safety, and schedule performance across all active sites
- Support M&A diligence and greenfield site feasibility assessments as required
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 10 years of large-scale construction delivery experience
- Deep expertise in mission-critical, data center, or advanced manufacturing construction
- Proven track record managing $200M construction programs
- Experience operating in a high-growth, owner/developer environment
- Strong understanding of design-build and CM-at-risk delivery models
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across geographies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Background in civil, structural, MEP, or a related technical discipline preferred
