Commissioning Manager | Hyperscale Data Centers
Overview:
An established commissioning firm is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activities across hyperscale data center and mission-critical projects.
The role will oversee commissioning from planning through final testing and handover, ensuring systems meet design requirements, performance standards, and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end commissioning across electrical, mechanical, controls, fire protection, and life safety systems.
- Develop commissioning plans, specifications, checklists, and testing procedures.
- Oversee functional performance testing, system validation, and operational readiness.
- Coordinate owners, contractors, design teams, and commissioning specialists.
- Track project progress, resolve technical issues, and manage risks.
- Maintain commissioning documentation, reports, issue logs, and closeout deliverables.
- Manage project schedules, resources, costs, and team performance.
- Ensure successful system turnover and readiness for operation.
Requirements:
- 12 years of construction or commissioning experience.
- 10 years of direct MEP commissioning experience on hyperscale data center or mission-critical projects.
- Experience leading end-to-end commissioning across at least three mission-critical projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, controls, and building systems.
- Experience managing project teams, schedules, resources, and budgets.
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
