By coordinating across various teams, AIRMOB ensures the fleet meets both current and future operational needs, supporting a range of specialized air mobility missions.
Position Summary
The Senior Quality Manager leads the development and implementation of comprehensive quality management systems for Metrea's aerial refueling operations, establishing commercial airline-level quality standards and processes. This role manages a team of quality specialists and oversees the implementation of rigorous Part 121-equivalent quality systems, ensuring mission-critical tanker operations meet the highest commercial aviation standards.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Moreno Valley, CA - Variable facility locations including office, flight operations, and warehouse areas based on operational requirements
Work Environment
This position operates primarily in an office setting with regular access to aircraft maintenance and flight line operations. This role requires flexibility to work in various facility environments including warehouse operations, aircraft hangars, and outdoor flight line areas. Personal protective equipment may be required when accessing operational areas
Travel
If located in the Temecula CA area (Riverside, Orange, and San Diego counties), other travel requirements are up to 25%.

Role And Responsibilities
- Establish and implement commercial airline-level quality management systems including Quality Assurance Program (QAP) and Safety Management System (SMS)
- Develop comprehensive quality systems comparable to Part 121 air carrier operations
- Manage quality team in accomplishing goals and mission critical items
- Establish and oversee comprehensive maintenance records management and documentation control systems
- Develop airline-standard operating procedures, quality control processes, and audit protocols
- Ensure regulatory compliance while implementing commercial airline-level quality standards
- Oversee maintenance quality assurance, aircraft records management, and airworthiness compliance
- Lead internal quality audits and manage corrective action programs (CAP)
- Coordinate with maintenance, flight operations, and ground support to ensure quality integration
- Establish quality metrics, KPIs, and performance monitoring systems for airline operations
- Manage aviation software systems and ensure data integrity across quality management platforms
- Interface with FAA, customers, and regulatory bodies on quality and compliance matters
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using airline industry best practices and methodologies
- Ensure proper documentation control, publications management, and regulatory compliance tracking
- Skills and Experience
- Minimum 8 years of quality management experience in commercial airline operations (Part 121 air carrier experience strongly preferred, Part 135 experience acceptable)
- Extensive knowledge of FAA regulations including Part 121, Part 135, and Part 145 maintenance requirements
- Proven experience implementing Quality Assurance Programs (QAP) and Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Strong background in airline maintenance quality assurance and records management systems
- Experience with aviation quality management software systems (e.g., AMOS, Baldwin, WBAT)
- Knowledge of airline safety and quality programs
- Experience managing quality teams and cross-functional airline operations
- Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance documentation, airworthiness requirements, and regulatory compliance
- Professional certifications in aviation quality or safety management preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and regulatory interpretation skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to influence across airline operations
- Experience with aviation auditing protocols and corrective action management
- Knowledge of industry best practices from major commercial carriers
- Part 121 air carrier quality management experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with commercial airline industry quality standards and best practices
- Experience in aviation fleet management and maintenance quality oversight
- Knowledge of aircraft modification and supplemental type certificate (STC) processes preferred
