Position Summary

We are seeking skilled and experienced Airborne Electronic Mission Coordinators (Sensor Operators) to join our team. The ideal candidates will be proficient in operating and managing sensors and mission systems on modified air platforms, undertaking surveillance tasks within contracted aerial services for Australian government customers.  

 Role and Responsibilities  

• Operate EO/IR and radar sensors and communications systems, through an airborne mission management system, ensuring optimal functionality and performance. 
• Execute aerial surveillance missions across maritime and land domains, adhering to strict operational protocols. 
• Employ procedures to effectively to gather, analyse, and disseminate actionable intelligence and information for government customers. 
• Monitor and interpret sensor data, providing real-time analysis and contributing to operational decision-making processes. 
  • Collaborate with other mission crew members and government stakeholders to plan and execute missions in alignment with operational objectives. 
  • Maintain and troubleshoot mission systems to maintain operational readiness. 
  • Document mission activities, including reports and analysis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with operational standards. 

 Skills and Experience  

• Proven experience as an airborne Electronic Mission Coordinator (Sensor Operator) or similar role in a related field. 
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with EO/IR and radar sensors and mission management systems, including situational awareness toolsets, mesh networks and radio communication systems. 
• Familiarity with various TTPs used in intelligence gathering and reconnaissance in both maritime and land domains. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret sensor data effectively. 
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and high-pressure environment, adhering to strict operational guidelines. 
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey critical information. 
• Security clearance or ability to obtain one, due to the sensitive nature of the work.

Security Clearance

• Must be an Australian Citizen, capable of obtaining and maintaining ASGVA NV1 Security Clearance.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications  

• Additional certifications or training related to aerial surveillance operations and mission systems. 
• Experience working with sensitive information and data within a government protected environment. 

Supervisory Responsibility 

This role has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Work Environment 

During deployment, employees will be living under field conditions and must be able to work with little supervision in austere or arduous environments. Work environment varies widely based on geographic location of contract operations.
