Production Polisher

Position Overview: As a Metal Polisher at Metraflex, the ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our finished products is consistent and meets or exceeds the required standards. The Metal Polisher will be responsible for polishing and finishing metal surfaces to meet the desired specifications, using various tools and techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a range of metals and a commitment to delivering high quality finishes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Polish, buff, and finish metal surfaces using hand tools, pneumatic grinders and other polishing/cleaning equipment.
• Prepare metal surfaces by removing rough spots, scratches and or other imperfections.
• Select appropriate abrasives and tools based on the type of metal and required finish.
• Ensure the safe handling of metals and cleaning agents involved in the polishing/cleaning process.
• Maintain and clean polishing tools and equipment regularly.
• Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and ensure a high-quality output.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, always following safety protocols such as wearing provided PPE.
• Inspect metal parts for defects and ensure quality standards are met.
• Prepare metal parts for stenciling by cleaning and polishing surfaces as needed.
• Apply stencils accurately to metal parts using a LVLP spray gun and manual techniques.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in metal polishing or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with different metals such as steel, stainless steel, brass, etc.
• Knowledge of polishing techniques, tools and polishing equipment.
• Attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a Team.
• Strong safety awareness when working with tools, polishing equipment and cleaning agents.
• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, and standing for extended periods while performing polishing tasks
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to handle repetitive tasks.
