The Opportunity

The Client Relationship Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality service, administration, implementation support, and relationship management for MetLife's institutional corporate-owned, bank-owned, and insurance company-owned life insurance programs across the United States. Guided by our purpose, always with you, building a more confident future, and our New Frontier strategy focused on stronger growth, attractive returns, and all-weather performance, this is an exciting opportunity to serve as the primary point of contact for sophisticated institutional clients, brokers, and consultants. You will partner with tax, legal, actuarial, investment, operations, and technology professionals to support complex benefit-funding programs, deliver exceptional client experiences, and help retain and grow institutional assets. Your work will contribute directly to the continued success of MetLife's Specialized Benefit Resources business and the financial security solutions we provide to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end administration and servicing for assigned institutional corporate-owned, bank-owned, and insurance company-owned life insurance cases, including ongoing case activity, client inquiries, and service requests.
  • Provide proactive case management and relationship support for institutional clients, brokers, and consultants to strengthen service quality, support client satisfaction, and help retain assets.
  • Coordinate new case implementation, policy administration, reporting setup, and ongoing service activity in partnership with tax, legal, actuarial, investments, operations, and technology teams.
  • Develop client and broker communications, reporting support, and issue-resolution plans while identifying opportunities to simplify processes and improve the overall service experience.

Required Qualifications
  • FINRA Series 6 license required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in life insurance, financial services, retirement services, employee benefits, or a related client service/operations environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, brokers, and internal business partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to adopt and apply technology, including AI, to solve business challenges, improve client outcomes, and enhance operational effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Life insurance experience or knowledge, preferably with corporate-owned, bank-owned, insurance-company-owned, or nonqualified executive benefit plan administration for institutional clients.
  • Exposure to institutional asset administration, reporting, or investment-related servicing, including separate accounts and underlying investment options or structures such as Stable Value, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, or similar programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel for reporting and data review, and familiarity with SharePoint, Salesforce, or similar client-service platforms.

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $74,500 - $100,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
