The Global Life and Disability Claim Specialist is responsible for customer support by handling inbound calls and emails, manage a caseload of Life and Long-Term Disability claims, analyze medical, occupational and financial information to determine claim eligibility, collaborate with internal and external partners and develop action plans for ongoing claims.

- Deliver exceptional customer service by managing inbound calls and emails in a call center environment assisting customers with benefit inquires, status updates and client support needs while appropriately redirecting misdirected inquires.
- Manage and oversee a caseload of Life and Disability claims, including new, ongoing and appealed cases, ensuring accurate, timely and well-documented claim reviews and determinations.
- Maintain frequent outbound phone contact with claimants all over the world to gather critical information, explain next steps and provide timely updates throughout the claim cycle.
- Conduct comprehensive claim investigations by obtaining and analyzing medical, occupational and financial information by engaging directly with claimants and collaborating with internal and external partners to support thorough and well-reasoned decisions.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to ERISA guidelines and regulatory requirements while delivering clear written and verbal explanations of claim decisions and resolving escalated issues with professionalism and urgency.
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in customer service or related experience.
- Demonstrate critical thinking in activities requiring analysis and investigation.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both verbal and written form.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with Long-Term Disability Claims.
The expected salary range for this position is $41,600 - $56,200 per year. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
