The Opportunity
The Director, Marketing Activation is responsible for orchestrating and optimizing multi-channel journeys to drive buyer and customer actions. They bridge customer insights, audience needs, channel and messaging preferences to deliver timely, relevant information that enables in-market activation. This is an exciting opportunity to generate material and measurable business outcomes, shape journey-based activation frameworks and governance, and develop scalable modern marketing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate marketing plans and OKRs into experimentation-based, multi-channel execution plans.
- Guide application and evolution of modern marketing approaches within the buyer/customer journey.
- Drive a portfolio-managed approach prioritizing work based on value, learning, and business impact.
- Partner with segment marketing teams to define a learning agenda for experimentation.
- Collaborate with CX strategy to design and apply a shared buyer/customer journey framework.
- Develop multi-channel strategy including sequencing, timing, channel mix, and personalization.
- Partner with channel strategists on experimentation strategy and manage test backlog.
- Establish KPIs and partner with Data/Analytics teams to ensure detailed journey measurement.
- Translate data into activation opportunities and experimentation plans for optimization.
- Lead end-to-end activation execution in agile pods and cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years' experience building B2B demand generation, customer lifecycle, or thought leadership programs.
- 7 years leveraging digital channels (email/automation, web, social, paid).
- Proven ability to translate marketing plans, insights, and analytics into activation strategies.
- Experience with ABM and CRM ecosystems (Salesforce, 6sense, Demandbase).
- Experience owning performance and optimization of complex buyer/customer journeys.
- Strong influence skills and executive-ready communication.
- Agile marketing experience with test-and-learn mindset.
- Systems thinker who can see across channels, customer journey stages, and process dependencies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change and embed new operating models.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in investment management industry and buyer dynamics.
Salary : $128,800 - $171,000
