Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Service Technician to join our team. This role involves providing technical support for IT hardware, software, and network systems, with a strong emphasis on audiovisual (AV) and broadcast technologies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in dynamic environments, both remotely and on-site, and will possess a strong troubleshooting mindset and customer service orientation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues related to IT hardware, software, and network systems.
- Repair and maintain IT-based hardware/software and network technology systems supporting broadcast and AV services.
- Monitor and respond to Help Desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution of issues reported by end users.
- Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance/service calls at client sites.
- Document all support activities, including problem descriptions and resolutions, in the helpdesk platform.
- Support and maintain Windows/Linux-based digital signage systems to ensure consistent playback functionality.
- Ensure the stability and integrity of network services including voice, data, video, audio, and wireless access in large-scale AV and event production environments.
- Collaborate with client IT teams during on-site installations and system integrations.
- Configure, deploy, administer, and maintain broadcast/audio/video/control workstations and servers.
- Participate in on-call support rotation as required.
- Coordinate with integration personnel on client training, project documentation, and other service hand-off procedures.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in IT support, preferably with exposure to AV or broadcast systems.
- Experience with Help Desk ticketing systems and remote support tools.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Experience with AV systems, digital signage platforms, and broadcast technologies.
- Ability to configure and maintain servers, workstations, and control systems.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and system hardening.

Certifications (Preferred but not required):

- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- AVIXA CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
- Cisco CCNA or equivalent
Pay: $24.64 - $40.00 per hour
