What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Instructor of Biology position at METHODIST UNIVERSITY INC?
The Division of Natural Science at Methodist University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach lower-division courses (lecture with lab) in Biology. Our recurring needs include Fundamentals of Biology I and Biological Science (for non-majors). We are looking for instructors with experience teaching face-to-face and online asynchronous modalities.
Requirements:
Interested persons should submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, teaching philosophy statement (no more than 1-page in length), and a statement that articulates their approach to teaching or other initiatives designed to foster a sense of student engagement, community, and belonging (not to exceed 1-page in length).

Qualifications:A Master’s Degree in Biology, or closely related discipline from a regionally accredited institution. Eighteen (18) credit hours in Biology at the graduate level is required. Teaching experience and/or more than one year of relevant field experience are a plus. Successful completion of a criminal history records check.
