About the Job
- Will assist in planning and directing therapeutic recreation services to ensure the achievement of goals and objectives within the department and long term care guidelines
- Will assist in creating and handling the logistics for daily, weekly, and monthly events in an effort to engage residents
- Responsible for assisting in resident evaluation, makes recommendations in conjunction with other team members, resident, and caregiver
- Responsible for demonstrating time management skills, able to prioritize work, and organize tasks and activities
- Responsible for assisting with transportation and the safety or residents to and from community events and other appropriate outings
- Responsible for maximizing direct resident care services
- Maintains current and accurate records of participation
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Therapeutic Recreation Degree (or related field) preferred
- Previous Therapeutic Recreation Assistant and/or Long Term care experience preferred
