Job Summary and Qualifications

The Vice President of Business Development will direct and oversee the development of a comprehensive internal and external strategic and marketing plans to facilitate the market share growth objectives for the organization. The Vice President will be responsible for all payer contracting in accordance with system goals. The Vice President of Business Development will facilitate strategic planning for the organization. The Business Development Executive Director will direct Provider Relations and its activities related to general physician orientation as well as product line management. The Vice President will also participate in identifying and meeting organizational goals and objectives as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. In addition to development and Marketing, the Vice President will be knowledgeable in contract management, physician recruitment and public relations. The Vice President will regularly conduct competitor analysis studies and identifies potential new trends, technology and innovations that may represent new business opportunities. Alongside the CEO, the Vice President will prepare the annual business plan and monitor its implementation.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in health administration, business, or related field of study required.
• Master’s Degree in business administration or healthcare administration preferred.
• Seven (7) years of demonstrated experience with strategic planning, and business and growth development
• Five (5) years of job-specific experience in the healthcare industry, and Four (4) years of related management/leadership responsibility.
• Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
