WHAT WE DO
Operated by Methodist Home for Children in partnership with the Department of Public Safety, the assessment center provides a comprehensive juvenile assessment in a residential setting with the goal of matching the youth to the most appropriate services in his or her community. The Center serves Level II offenders between the ages of 10 and 17. We're seeking Youth Care Staff for our facility in Asheville, NC.
AC-Youth Care Workers serve as the primary caregivers to youth being served by the Assessment Center. They will be responsible for engaging youth in a variety of activities to enhance the assessment process. Duties will include implementing direct care services according to individualized service plans, engaging youth in assessment activities, implementing a non-punitive environment that motivates youth, and modeling appropriate moral, ethical, and professional values for youth. Excellent training is provided!
Pay is $16 an hour plus, depending on education and experience.
Qualified candidates will be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED.
Hours- Currently seeking employees for days (7am - 7pm) and nights (7pm - 7am). Full and part-time schedules can be considered.
This position requires a valid NC driver's license, the successful completion of required screenings and trainings, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including 12-hour shifts.
