Job Summary And Qualifications
Under the general direction of the COO, the Special Projects Coordinator holds line responsibility and the authority for the administrative oversight, evaluation and coordination of assigned hospital departments. This role ensures that departmental operations and outcomes align with overall hospital objectives with also managing and coordinating special projects as assigned.

This role ensures that departmental operations and outcomes align with overall hospital objectives with also managing and coordinating special projects as assigned.
Essential job duties:
- Provides administrative leadership for the operations of any projects and/or departments primarily under the direction of the COO, with support to other senior leadership as needed.
- Communicates routinely with the COO concerning policy recommendations and suggested courses of action pertinent to the efficient operation of assigned departments. Communicates with other members of senior leadership as needed.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to align departmental operations with organizational priorities and strategic objectives.
- Assists the COO in the business development of all service lines and focuses on further development of the continuity between outpatient and inpatient care.
- Assists department heads in establishing a measure of performance, increased productivity, quality improvement, cost controls and maximum utilization of facilities.
- Under the guidance of the COO or other senior leadership members, attends medical staff meetings and/or medical staff committee meetings as assigned or requested.
- Manages new construction buildouts, staying within budget, and on time/in scope of original project.
- Previous experience in a hospital environment
- Bachelors Degree
