What are the responsibilities and job description for the MCH Maintenance Supervisor position at Methodist Family Health?
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the upkeep of the grounds of MCH and the machinery used in the upkeep of the grounds.
Performs preventive maintenance, record keeping, ordering, outside contractor supervision, and facility repairs.
Performs basic carpenter, electrical, plumbing, HVAC skills to maintain the MCH facility.
Oversees and performs record keeping maintaining written records for compliance with the Department of Health, TJC, OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
Oversees and performs regularly scheduled and random preventive maintenance of equipment and assess general condition of MCH facilities and make appropriate recommendation for improvements or repairs.
Responsible to the Director of Environment of Care for all reports requested on a routine basis or special reports as needed.
Maintain annual tuberculosis screening, Hepatitis B, CPI, and all other MCH annual requirements.
Follow all policies and procedures of MCH that affect the Environment of Care.
Maintains appropriate documentation for maintaining service logs required in the maintenance department.
Takes advantage of professional growth opportunities and regularly scheduled in-service and training provided for the maintenance staff.
Possess the ability to provide in-services to staff for safety of equipment, hand, or power tools used at MCH.
Responsible for completing safety, fire, and disaster drills as requested (random and regularly scheduled drills, etc.).
Provides direct supervision of the maintenance and housekeeping staff.
Responsible for employee assignments and inspection of employee’s work responsibilities to ensure compliance.
Responsible for evaluating employee’s job performance and working directly with the Director of Environment of Care regarding significant employee improvements and/or disciplinary actions.
Work with contractors to oversee their performance to meet the facility needs and requirements of service provided.
Performs other related duties as requested by the EC Director or other applicable personnel.
Qualifications:
High school degree and/or its equivalency.
A minimum of five years' experience and/or training in the areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, ability to read blueprints, general carpentry and mechanical maintenance.
Must have some work experience in supervisory administrative capacity.
Must have valid Arkansas driver’s license and insurable.
Flu vaccination is mandatory and required for all positions (subject only to qualified exemptions).
