Responsibilities
- Support multiple classrooms by assisting teachers with daily activities, lesson plans, and child supervision
- Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by following health and safety protocols at all times
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions among children
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute developmental milestones and special activities
- Support classroom routines such as circle time, nap schedules, snack time, and outdoor play
- Assist with classroom organization, materials preparation, and documentation of children's progress
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, nannying or babysitting setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Previous experience caring for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers demonstrates strong caregiving skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and support various age groups effectively
