Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Athletic Trainer located in Waco, TX. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for the daily care of athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation. Responsibilities include overseeing strength and conditioning programs, implementing strategies for physical wellness, monitoring athletes’ health, and providing immediate care during athletic events and training sessions. The Athletic Trainer will also ensure compliance with safety standards and work collaboratively with coaches and medical professionals to support the well-being of youth participants.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Injury Prevention and overall wellness initiatives
- Proficiency in Athletic Training and providing on-site care during events
- Experience in designing and implementing Strength & Conditioning programs
- Strong skills in Rehabilitation and post-injury management
- Ability to establish and enforce protocols for Prevention of injuries
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or a related field
- Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers
- State licensure or ability to obtain licensure in Texas
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, especially when working with youth, coaches, and medical staff
- Experience in working with youth or in residential care is a plus
